Notes To Self

Dear Future Sami,

Next time one of your Facebook friends tells you that a certain movie is good, but should not be watched without a man in the house...chances are, you should NEVER watch it.  Period.  Why?  Well, just remember this morning, when you woke up terrified from a nightmare at 5:57 am.  That's why.  Not sure why you thought you could handle a scary movie now.  Inside, you're still that girl who caught about 10 minutes of the movie The Fly when she was 7, and had to sleep on her parent's floor for a week.  If you choose to not pay heed to this warning...well, don't say I didn't warn you!

Love,
A little on the groggy side...

Dear Self,

Laundry does not fold itself.  I know you already know this, but it's nonetheless a fact.  Do you also remember how much you HATE ironing?  You aren't doing yourself any favors by letting the laundry sit in a basket, getting cold and creased.  Do yourself a favor, and get off the computer and fold it.  Now.

Love,
Why are you not moving?
Sami

Dear Self,

It's been decided.  The next big ticket item that we will use our feminine powers of persuasion to acquire will be a vacuum.  I know that you usually prefer to use those powers for things just for you, like a piece of jewelry, or a night out with the girls but desperate times call for desperate measures.  Maybe you can even score a Dyson...

Love,
Roon likes your pink shirt best...
Sami

I can't handle scary movies either. Like seriously. I crept to the top of the stairs while my parents were watching Gremlins when it came out and watched a few minutes. The story goes that I ran away screaming in terror and had to sleep in their bed for the next year. That fear hasn't changed with time. Haha! Love the notes. You funny girl you!

I am NOT a scary movie gal... NO THANKS! Ooohhhh a new vacuum, funny how those kind of things make us mommies happy... well, actually kinds sad! I have a Dyson & so does my sis. Mine lost suction after a year or 2. My sisters lost it after only about 6 months. Sis took hers in & it was fixed in a jiffy - I guess the belts break easily? I still haven't taken mine in, cuz it's $70 to fix & I don't wanna. I did love it when it worked... totally worth it, just keep your warranty paperwork!!! : )

You work it girl! Amazing how powerful we can be. I used to like scary movies, but they seem to bother me now. Guess it comes with age.

I can also throw a word in for the $60 Eureka...I've had mine for at least six years and it still does a good job as long as I remember to change the filters once in a blue moon. I agree with Mamarazzi...save the pink shirt for something better.
