I have always loved paying bills.
No, I'm not a huge fan of the money coming out of my account, but the whole bill paying process has always been very enjoyable to me.
Except for one.
For the past 4-5 years, Roon and I have had a revolving account with a furniture store.
Every time we needed a new piece of furniture, we would shop at that store, and pay it off interest free. Every month, I dreaded paying that bill.
Care to know why? Brace yourselves, you're about to see a whole other layer of crazy in the onion of insanity that is my brain...
The payment coupon was too big for the envelope.
No, I'm not kidding.
I DESPISED paying this bill because the payment coupon never fit properly in the envelope provided. It was only off by about 1/8 of an inch, but it was enouogh to drive me out of my mind crazy.
Before ya'll harp on me and say "well why didn't you just pay it online if it bothered you that much?", I must tell you that in order to pay said bill online, you must have a checking account for that particular banking establishment. Believe me...it would have saved me some SERIOUS frustration over the lifetime of our account.
The bill showed up at our house yesterday, so before I went to bed I settled in to pay it, preparing myself for "the battle of the bulge".
The Hallelujah chorus swelled around me as the payment coupon slid easily into the envelope provided. You could see the address in the little plastic window and everything!
And it, was a glorious day.
You know what else is glorious?
