Whatever You Call It...Assignment 1

Have ya'll read my post from yesterday yet?  If not, go do it.  I'll wait.
Cool, right?!
Still no luck on the name, but I'm still working on it.
I keep getting stuck on things like "Creating with Candy" and "Saturday is SWEET!".  Lame, right?  I've got to have a cool name...I just have to.  Mom, if you're reading this:  HELP ME!!!
Anyway, I thought that for this month's assignment, it would only be fitting to feature the empty calorie culprit that started it all...
My first memory involving candy was when I was 5 years old.  I had been attending an elementary school in Illinois when my parents made the decision to move us to Ohio.  For my last day of school, my Mom let me pick out a candy to share with my class.  At least, I think I got to pick it...
So, I went to school, said goodbye to my friends, and shared my special treat.  When I got home, my Mom asked where the leftovers were.  I thought for a moment about the 2 dozen or so sugary delights in my backpack, and I did what any kid would do...I told her there weren't any.
She seemed to accept this answer, and I hurried off to my room to hide the evidence.
But where?
In what could only be described as an epiphany, I spotted this:

and it was BRILLIANT!  I tucked the arms and legs in, and hid the contraband sweets amongst them.  Then, I held it tight, and never let it out of my sight.  Heaven forbid my siblings should catch on, or I might have to share!  Except, I'm pretty sure I was sharing with them the whole time...
My genius plan was working like a charm until later that night, when my mom asked if she could see my Popple.  You see, it was a fairly new addition to the family, and she had never played with it to see how it worked.
Like a deer caught in the headlights, I refused to hand it over.  I ran to my room to empty out the evidence of my wrongdoing and took it to my mom to try out.
THAT was a close one!
So, what is the mystery candy that is burned into my memory as the first time I lied to my mother?
TOOTSIE ROLLS!
If you want to play along, remember you can do anything and everything as long as it has SOMETHING to do with a Tootsie Roll.  You have until the last Saturday of the month, which is September 25th to stretch your creative muscles, then you can link up your awesomeness.
Remember, I will judge to narrow it down to the top few participants, so BE CREATIVE!
If any of you have ideas on a name, or on how I can promote this little newborn linky party...please send them my way!  I am at a loss...

Candyland!

Do you really still have your Popple? I so wish I still had mine...

This sounds like fun...though I can't quit thinking about the litter box cakes I've seen, where they use the tootsie rolls for the, well you know.

Hee hee. I can't wait until you get to the sweet treat that Mom had to Heimlich out of you. Not 'cause I have a creation to share, I just like that story!

This one's not half bad either...

Wow! Thanks for the confidence in my ability to help you pick out a name for your contest...no pressure there! You should well know that my wit is purely spontaneous. I was in fact, trying to come up with a suggestion for you, until I read your plea for help and went totally blank! So sorry! I will oil the rusty wheels in my mind and let you know if I come up with anything! In the meantime... I can't wait for the day when each of my wonderful children hears the first story of deception from one of their children! I'm just glad I have a good sense of humor and can laugh at the things you all pulled off.
2 dozen Tootsie Rolls hidden inside a Popple by my innocent little 5-year-old???
