Naive? Oblivious? Lucky?

Sometimes on Friday I have to think really hard of an experience from my past in order to link up with MiMi for her F Bomb Friday.  Then there are weeks like this week, when I have 3 "mini bombs" that I have trouble picking from.  So, you get all 3!  Please control your excitement...

Naive?  Yes.
Roon and I are redecorating our half bathroom.  I spent a couple weeks on the phone and exchanging emails with my little sister, getting her expert opinion about how best to do it.  We formulated a plan, after pricing things online, and went to Home Depot to make our purchases.  We already knew we were going to have to special order our vanity top, and budgeted based on the average cost of the size and basic material we would need.  After sitting down with our "granite guy", and giving our specifications, he gave us the price.  $380.  What the flip?!  Our new vanity PLUS most of the other materials didn't cost that much combined!  As Roon would say:  "I hope it comes with a hundred dollars taped to it!".

Oblivious?  Yes.
Yesterday, when Sissy and Bubble got home from school, Bubble grudgingly admitted that he had been on "Yellow" that day (discipline system...Black:  Excellent, Green:  Good, Yellow:  Warning, so on and so forth).  If my children are on anything less than Green, they have at home consequences.  After a fair amount of discussion, we decided that being grounded from his DS for the evening would suffice.  As bedtime approached, and Roon was upstairs with the kids, I heard Roon tell Bubble that he didn't think Bubble should be doing something.  I didn't hear the whole thing.  Then Roon hollered down to where I was working on the computer, to ask if Bubble was supposed to be playing on the DS.  Why does this make me oblivious?  It is stored in a drawer that is not even 6 feet away from where I was sitting, that's why!  What the Heck?!

Lucky?  Not so much.
Remember a while ago when I posted THIS STORY?  For those who read my blog regularly, and don't want to click and read the story, it's the one involving "Slapstick" and my not so flattering nickname.  I received an email yesterday informing me of my monthly visiting route.  Take a wild guess who I get to go visit now...
Great.  Just, great.

Go link up with MiMi!  I mean it!

Rhiannon has done that when she has been grounded from her tv in her room...turned it on and I could hear it and when I ask about it....she "forgot" she was grounded

Dude. Granite is SO expensive. Yikes.
Yeah, Bubble is sneaky. Just like my kids! :)

Sneaky little devil and completely normal!

I hate loud and inappropriate people, that's why I could never be my own friend!

I hate it when stuff ends up costing so much more than you thought it would. Can't wait to see the finished product!

We're having similar problems here. Noah has come home on Yellow two days in a row and has been grounded to his room as a result, except every time I turn around THERE HE IS!!! AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGG!

One of my favorite...I guess it's kind of a poem...anyways, it has a line in it that says "avoid loud and aggressive persons. They are vexations to the spirit."

At least you don't have to visit all your route WITH her. I had one of those... three houses with her in one afternoon was enough to make me contemplate slitting my wrists.

*P.S. "Comment deleted by author" was me. I hate typos... Sorry about that.

Isn't it so annoying when something costs WAY more then you expect it to. Stupid granite guy, I'm sure it was all his fault!
Have fun with your visit :)

Black just doesn't sound good. It's funny to me that that is the best one.

Okay, thanks a lot - now I have to go back and click, because it's something I missed - and you didn't do a very good job re-explaining it!
