I just act like I don't know what she's saying and ask her if she meant "mine"? while enunciating correctly. She then repeats the word back to me exactly the way I said it.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03604369736215247877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514983607168914341.post-57703362922572346182010-08-19T22:42:47.784-05:002010-08-19T22:42:47.784-05:00Alex purposely does baby talk too. So I definitely try and stop her baby talk as you can't always understand her anywayEmmyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14675419215475635276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514983607168914341.post-49447553316349079102010-08-18T19:38:48.165-05:002010-08-18T19:38:48.165-05:00Yeah, kids seem to do this kind of thing a lot. For the longest time Thirteen (which she said often because it is her birthdate) was FLURTEEN. Just within the last month she has been pronouncing it correctly. I figure eventually they'll get it soon enough. Although, I do still ask every time I take her to the pediatrician though. I'm a mom, it's normal for us to worry right???Myyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03248342096609316500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514983607168914341.post-14783363120048616232010-08-18T18:14:32.504-05:002010-08-18T18:14:32.504-05:00Layla has trouble pronouncing her Rs but always ha...Layla has trouble pronouncing her Rs but always has. I asked the Dr about it last week and he had said if it wasnt better in 6 mos to a year then I might have to look into speech therapy. However they told my cousin the same thing about her daughter, especially after she was in school but when she was 9 it just went away on its own.

As far as suddenly doing it when you have never done it before I would wonder if they are doing it purposely?shortmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18083148312260283511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3514983607168914341.post-36228795912712085892010-08-18T17:47:29.464-05:002010-08-18T17:47:29.464-05:00You aren't.
